Training Course Overview

The Heart Saver Institute has a variety of training and specialty programs to meet the needs of individuals, facilities and High Risk Cardiac patients.

Facility Safety Programs

The Heart Saver Institute's Facility Safety Program will assist any facility in becoming a "Heart Safe" Facility. Safety protocols will be evaluated and recommendations will be made regarding the placement of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), First Aid Kits, Emergency Oxygen, and Bloodbourne Pathogens Clean Up Kits.

The Facility Safety Program equipment and training will be tailored to meet the particular needs and preferences of each location including training, equipment and maintenance agreements.

Being prepared for an emergency not only allows for a safer environment whether in the workplace or other facility, but also boosts employee morale and awareness. Contact The Heart Saver Institute to find out how easy it can be to implement a comprehensive Facility Safety Program at your office, recreational facility, fitness center, place of worship etc.

High Risk Cardiac Patient Programs

The Heart Saver Institute's High Risk Cardiac Patient Program was developed in conjunction with its sister company, CardioLink Corporation. The High Risk Cardiac Patient Program is tailored to meet the needs of those patients who, for whatever reason, do not meet the requirements or are not candidates for an implanted cardiac defibrillator (ICD).

The High Risk Cardiac Patient Program is tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual patient. The Heart Saver Institute along with CardioLink will work with the patients, their physicians, and their insurance companies to develop a program that is best suited to meet their needs in every way.

Some of the components of a patient's customized program may include:

  • An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for the patient's home and/or office
  • A Cardiac Monitoring Device capable of transmitting the patient's EKG to a receiving center
  • CPR and AED training for the patient, the family and other key people
  • A CPR training kit for at-home refresher training at any time
  • Oxygen Equipment
  • A pulse oximeter with alarm
  • INR Home Testing equipment

No matter how many components are required to fulfill the patient's program needs, cardiac technicians are available 24/7 to answer any questions or concerns.
